According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives. Treatments are available, but nearly two-thirds of people with a known mental disorder never seek help from a health professional. Stigma, discrimination and neglect prevent care and treatment from reaching people with mental disorders.
By supporting mental health programs and building a philanthropic brand, The Dialogue Projects aims to reduce stigma and help those suffering from mental illness. When we learn about people who share similar life experiences the elephant in the room slowly disappears. VOICES, a collection of stories and shared experiences, aims to connect readers around the globe and provide a support system mediated through our ongoing mission.
